Lowering the Voting Age

Currently, MoCo For Change is at the forefront of lowering the voting age as we are working on introducing a bill in the Maryland General Assembly to give Montgomery County the ability to lower the voting age. We have previously met with numerous delegates to propose this initiative, and Delegate Vogel has agreed to sponsor the bill. Lowering the voting age is essential as it can lead to an increase in voter turnout and help create lifelong civic engagement habits.
