MoCo For Change is committed to creating school environments where every student feels safe, supported, and free from fear regardless of their immigration status.

 

We believe that schools should be places of learning, not surveillance. This is why MoCo4Change actively supports HB1513, which would prohibit school security personnel from participating in federal immigration enforcement efforts. No student should have to worry that seeking help from a school resource officer could put their family at risk.

 

Through testimonies and public education efforts, we’re working to protect the rights of immigrant students and ensure MCPS schools and beyond remain places of trust, safety, and opportunity for all students.
